Honda put a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and a continuously variable automatic transmission in the 2023 HR-V. The Honda HR-V performance specs are 158 horsepower and 138 lb-ft of torque. The HR-V comes standard with front-wheel drive, and drivers can choose all-wheel drive. Many expect Honda will eventually add a turbocharged engine like the Civic or introduce a hybrid model like the CR-V and Accord.

The fuel-efficient powertrain gets an EPA-estimated 26/32 MPG with front-wheel drive, while the all-wheel-drive models have an EPA-estimated fuel economy rating of 25/30 MPG.

The powertrain is enhanced with standard Honda Sensing driver-assistive technology with Driver Drowsiness Monitoring, Road Sign Recognition, Forward Collision Warning with Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Automatic High Beams. Comfortable and Well-Equipped Honda HR-V Interior

The three trim levels have comfortable interior features with plenty of technology. The entry-level HR-V LX has cloth seats with manual adjustability. The 7.0-inch touchscreen includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, and a four-speaker audio system.

The HR-V Sport adds orange accent stitching to the upholstery. The front seats are heated, and drivers can use the proximity keyless entry and remote start for convenience.

Honda offers the EX-L trim as the pinnacle of the HR-V models. This luxurious trim has leather upholstery with a power-adjustable driver’s seat. It also has a moonroof, ambient lighting, and dual-zone automatic climate control. The infotainment screen grows to 9.0-inches and has wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless device charging, and eight speakers.

Cargo space on the 2023 model is slightly less than the outgoing HR-V, as the new models do not have the Magic Seats. The 2023 HR-V has 24.4 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats upright and 55.1 cubic feet with the seats lowered.
